Daewoo Racer A/C

Salam,

Please share your ideas with me, how to replace daewoo racer A/C with normal Senden A/C. The original air compressor has a five pin connector, however Senden air compressor A/C use only one wire for connection. OR
any suggestions in this regard.

The daewoo Racers A/C is unique however if u intend to replace it with a Sanden compressor u will need to have a new base fabricated and installed. Y do u want to replace the compressor in the 1st place? If it is malfunctioning get it overhauled. There is a Daewoo workshop in Rawalpindi opposite Rahat Bakery who will do it for around Rs 3000/-. My Daewoo's compressor had leaky seals and no oil so i took it to that guy & he overhauled the unit. Worked fine after that. However he will probably tell u to change the 'pulley' but don't get that done as your old one will probably be fine. Just change the belts and get the system checked for leaks. Plus you should also get the internal dashboard controls checked if they are funtioning or not. If u want more info i'll be glad to supply u with it. Lotsa luck.

The actual problem is, my a/c compressor has been changed to Senden when purchased. As per electrical manual the car has a thing called "blower resister" with four wires and one is to start the AC so total five. The technician who installed A/C twisted 2+2 wire and a/c is working somehow normally. But two speed FAN is not working, also the high pressure switch is detached. I want to place the things write order even if its altered.
(this will help other also)
I want to know the write way to replace the A/C instead of original one.

If the compressor has already been changed then u have very little choice. If you are living in Pindi then i can suggest either you go to the Daewoo guy i've mentioned above or go to an electrician named Javed i think who has a shop near Choor Chowk in Westridge. Its an electrical problem so he might be able to help you out. Otherwise if you live elsewhere then i can only suggest that you should go and first see an A/C repair man and if he fails then an auto-electrician. Or you can leave the system alone and make do with what you have. Best of Luck.

I do have a manual but its for Opel Kadett E. (same as Daewoo Racer)
Therefore your original Daewoo manual help me a lot.

I got the AC fixed last summer but the cooling is not up to the mark like new cars. Is it because the compressor is not original? It is sanden 507 or 506 I think. I never knew that original Daewoo could be fixed as that ac mechanic took it out and replaced with sanden and I also didn't bring it back with me. And if I install a bigger one will it help? Let me know if someone's Daewoo really chills in blazing Jun or Jul. Otherwise I might have to sell it just because of AC. Someone told me that only original Daewoo compressor works... is it true?
