Daewoo Racer, Is it worth buying in 2020? Owner's / Experts?

Hello experts,

I want to lay my hands on my first ever car and would like to ask the experts about it. I have looked around and have found absolutely no definite answer for Daewoo racer in Pakistan, in 2020. I live and work in Rawalpindi, in Bahria Town to be precise.

I have heard about the parts, faults in electrical, and low mileage. I just wanted someone who is an expert or has driven the car for some time.

1- Is it worth buying in 2020? In Rawalpindi
2- Anything specific to look for when buying a Daewoo racer, like genuine engine, electrical status etc.

the general rule of buying car is most important backup support , parts maintenance resale etc
the old cars are just headache nothing else

I own daewoo for the last 11 years and drive almost 150 km daily.....But I advise u not to buy her if its ur 1st car.....coz it's not a car to do experiments on it......better start with mehran Khyber margalla...then once u gain experience then shift to her ....otherwise it will become a money pit

Dont buy it or else you will waste alot of money on fixing it. Go for Mehran Cultus or anything of which parts are available.

You didn't state your price range, which would be appropriate for any piece of advice. However, when it comes to Daewoo Race, I would give it a thumbs down. Parts would be an issue, plus most mechanic would not entertain you if it malfunctioned or required any repairing.
If your budget is as low as PKR 150,000, increase your range and go for Mehran (I never thought I would ever advise anyone to buy it). If your range is above 300k, then you would have better options such as Margalla, Cuore or if you get lucky, 86 Corolla (Khyber is a good car but has the same problem of availability of parts.

See, because I don't know what your price range is, there are too many ifs and buts. But say NO to Daewoo Racer.
