Dahitsu Mira E.S 2012 Fuel Average

Hope everyone is doing fine!

So I recently purchased a Dahistsu Mira E.S 2012.
Previous owners as usually say, " aram sa 20 21 krti hai".

Car is driven 85000 km, seems a bit suspicious but actually the car is 2022 8th month Auction. Car was not driven in Pakistan before 2022.

Turns out its not the case. Before I found out about the low average. This is the list of work done on the car:

1) Spark Plugs Changed, Japanese Plugs Installed
2) Brake Master Cylinder was leaking, Changed it with Kabuli
3)Full Tuning, Injectors, General Cleaning, Fuel Pump Service etc
4)Catalytic Convertor Cleaned with Acid, Acceleration Improved drastically

So the previous owner said, "mene abhi 1 hafta pehle oil change kiya hai, mushkil sa 500km chalayi ho gi uss ke bd". The oil grade he was using Zic 5w-30.

Till now I have put in 9000pkr of petrol:

Aik br 5000 ka(15 Litre)
2 baar 2 2 hazar ka (7 litre once and 7 once)

And the car has driven hardly over 250kms, ye tou civic sa bhi kam average banti hai.

Please suggest what should I do!

My experience with owning a ~30k driven Mira e:S 2012 suggested an average consumption of 14km/L driving in the Karachi summer. I doubt it can deliver more than this.

People have been BS'ing about the Mira e:S being able to deliver some ridiculous figure like 30km/L for the last ten years.

My Mira Es 2014 is 35.3km in 1litter 100% amezing

Yeah I don't buy this.I've had my Mira e : S for 4 months, use only hi-octane fuel, clean and maintain vents/filters regularly, and got an average of 13.5 - 14.0 km/l in the summer months with:

* gentle driving (green, "eco" dash lights all the way through)
* reasonable air conditioning settings (28 C, auto)

Now I'm getting a winter average that ranges anywhere between 16.0 - 22.0 km/l, with air conditioning off (temperature set to 26 C, automatic heating in the morning). Temperature and climate conditions, fuel/air filter quality, fuel/air particulate content, driving technique, engine oil quality, engine and fuel pump health, eco-idle usage, using regenerative braking appropriately... the list of factors that come into play is sizable, and one video won't prove anything.

The OP's post reeks of spam; proof provided is insufficient to take the claim seriously.

PS: A particularly dishonest way of boosting your calculated average is to clear the gauge by holding down the stalk button and then either coast at a constant speed, or let go of the gas pedal whilst the car coasts to a stop. This will show a reading anywhere from 50.0 km/l to 99.9 km/l, simply because you're consuming only enough fuel to maintain baseline RPM, and the car is moving at a speed that cannot be reached or sustained with that kind of power output. You can see if someone's potentially done this if the average on the car's dash changes in large increments - an average figure that hasn't been messed with will show only minute variations.

Having genuine spark plugs of the appropriate specification is important. However, I'm suspicious of the use of the word "tuning." What does that mean? Usually, it's an easy way for shops to extract money from a customer without really doing anything meaningful.

Cleaning the throttle body is meaningless unless there's some massive, improbable physical obstruction. General cleaning doesn't mean anything. Catalytic converters do not need cleaning. The fuel pump, if it fails inside the tank, is replaced - there is no service possible.

The simplest way to think about improving your fuel consumption is to think of the pedals. Every time you press either the brake or accelerator pedal, it costs you money. The more you press one, the more money it costs. Press them as little as possible, and only as much as necessary.

The only vehicles I actually believe deliver the average their owners claim are the 1.4L Suzuki Ciaz at 14km/L and the R06A 660cc Suzuki Alto at 17km/L. My R18A 8th Gen Civic delivers an average of 8km/L city, 12km/L highway.

other things u can check is whether the correct and genuine spark plugs are installed. tires are of the correct size and inflated to 35psi at least. air filter is clean and you're using fuel from reputed pumps.
this car can give 20 if u drive with a light pedal on roads with minimal traffic lights. in traffic it drops down to around 15.
