Daihastsu cuore maintenance

Hello pakwheelers,
I want to know few things about my daihatsu cuore 2005 CX, as this is my very first car and I have recently started to drive, can u people please brief me about few things?
1. The car interior is not in a very good condition, it needs seats covers change, a new stereo system with speakers, floor mates and some foam to slightly uplift the backseats and also seat belt on passenger side. kindly suggest me how much will it cost me.
2. The fuel economy is not that good I went for a long on motorway and it gave me 200kms in half tank, is it bcz I am a new driver and run the car on high RPM?
3. Kindly suggest me, how often I should change the engine oil, or other services as I have no idea about these thing?
4. The temperature gauge needle doesn't even move above the lowermost line, I went to an electrician and he disconnected the radiator fan and gave some accelator pushes which brought the needle slightly up, but on long 200kms drive it didn't even rise to lowermost line. I am really worried, is the engine not getting heated or still there is issue with heat guage?
5. The car doors produces strange sound while opening or closing, is there any solution?
6. The headlights are, I think slightly dimmer than my expectations, should I change it to HID?

I think I made a big mistake, bought it for 450k, the acceleration is good, the suspension is good, but the interior needs some serious refining.
I am already discouraged​

I sold 2010 cx eco for 515k in karachi 2 weeks ago.. that too in good condition! Bought it at 525 and spent upto 70k on maintenance in just 1.5 years..

I have similar experience... Spent already 70K on my Auto cuore in less than a year. Will sell soon. If you want peace of mind then another car please, but drive quality of cuore is good. If we'll maintained, even cuore is a nice car but it's very sensitive to any alterations.

Don't mess with temperature guage your fan was on direct, so the seller did that on purpose because the car was overheating. Your mechanic probably removed direct fan and made it auto. The last time this happened on my car head gasket blew twice. Get all head work done and only then convert car fan back on auto.

A good Engine oil for cuore engine in good condition is Castrol Magnetic 10W-40. Change every 3-4000 km.

Don't install HIDs in old car, they can fry your engine electronics specially if the engine bay is altered like yours. Cuore headlights are infact very very good, get yours checked.

Fuel economy on AC is trash but on normal it gives 10-11 km/l in automatic. In manual you can expect 12-13km/l .

Cuore was also my first car a year ago, I recommend you downgrade to a mehran as your first beginner car; it can handle much more abuse. Alto is also not a bad car.

you got 13 on long,yes, it can partially be your driving and also the fact that you haven't gotten any maintenance done on it as yet.Also because your engine was running cold.

depends on which oil you use, some are at 3000 and some at 5000

your car is missing a component called a thermostat, get that installed and things will get better.

and whose fault is that, please don't use your inexperience as an excuse to bad mouth a car and discourage other owners.

Don't mess with temperature guage your fan was on direct, so the seller did that on purpose because the car was overheating.

please refrain from assuming things, its common practice in Pakistan that mechanics remove the thermostat even if the car has no heat-up issues.

again, assumptions. When you assume something, you make an "ass" out of "u" and "me". always remember that.

Fuel economy on AC is trash

misguidance, manual coure has amazing fuel economy, does 15 local and 18 long, it drop 1 kml with ac.

was bought for 505,000 in 2009.

Overheating is an issue with cuore.. i had burnt 2 gaskets in karachi heat! Some mechanics do make fan direct but i went for updating radiotor to 4 hose one.. that never allowed needle to come up and ac also started responding well..
The issue with this car is that if you maintain one thing another comes up even if you have a very good mechanic.. under same price i would suggest to opt for cultus.. alto.. or old model city/civic ..

can't say about karachi, but my car was on cng, constant ac, driven through mountains and plains, covered 30k kms in the first 3 months, and driven another 90k kms before i sold it. never even once do i recall a heat-up issue. My cousin had one purchased brand new, that car was thoroughly abused by him because it was his first car and he is a carefree fellow, even his car never got a heat-up issue.
Even @nfssaad, living in karachi had one for so long, he also claims only regular maintenance.
So basically either your car had an issue or your mechanic couldn't properly fix it..

the needle should be half mark always.

on my car the fan was always auto. always used coolant.

the guy we bought it from was also a pakwheeler and took good care of the car.

99% mechanics are nut cases.

The thing is @pwuser156102471720 Doctor Sb, if you have just bought a 15 year old used car, you will need to personalize it as per your requirement. @dayrider bhai is right it is a very good little car hardly everyone i Know except @muhammad.irtiza has had bad experience with a Cuore. Khair @muhammad.irtiza 's case is a bit different his car was abused by the previous owner all jugaad up he has corrected the issues to the best he can.

It is a nice little peppy car. For Interior go to any good seat cover maker who can make personalized seat cover as per your specs If in Karachi you can go to tariq road for this. they will even make the door panels the same as the seats.

Change all the belts, all the fluids ans lubricants, use good quality Oil and Coolant, service the brakes and change the brake fluid (Toyota Dot 3 Preferably). Check the wiring to the temperature gauge checked. Service the radiator, change the hoses. this all just basic maintenance you do as a first thing when you but a used car.

for the light most probably the reflectors inside the lights have lost chrome they can be refurbished,

Thank you sir, will go to a mechanic today inshAllah, I am in Peshawar, will have everything checked as you mentioned, saved a screenshot of your post.
The thing i am worried most about is the heat guage.
The radiator after 230kms drive didn't even drop a single drop of water, the maximum point at which I have seen the temp gauge is at lowermost line.
Again bothering you for another reply, p.s I don't even know the ABCD of cars. But this pakwheels community is helping me get rid of all disappointments.

Update
Today went on a drive with AC, the heat guage indicator moved above the lowermost line, is it a good sign?

don't worry about the temperature gauge position as long as it is not crossing the half mark -- center of the temperature dial.

It does cross the lowermost line on AC even if the fan is direct.. enjoy the car
