DAIHATSU CHARADE 1984 G11 restorationa and upgradation

hey everyone, hope everyone is doing great , im starting the thread to document another charade G11 restoration,
we got this charade in an average condition for a car this age, it had some rust holes here and there, front left side had minor collision damage and a damaged fender, the car is a 1984 model and is in metallic light green color, we will be painting it in the same shade of green with little or no change, the paint was bubbling up from many spots and it was faded from roof and bonnet, the body overall was in fairly good condition considering age of the car, and to my surprise it still had its original rocker panels, of course they were rusted at the ends, but still it was a good sign that the car wasn't butchered by the local denters that we have here mostly.

here i will be sharing the updates on the progress of the work, and the journey from start to finish, i will be open to suggestions and input from fellow pakwheelers,

i wasn't able to take pictures initially, but after starting the work while dismantling it i started to document the whole process. here are some pictures that can give you guys some idea of the work requires on the body

first we started to remove all the parts on the exterior of the car, and all the doors, and after that we moved towards the interior, we stripped all the vehicle to bare chassis,

after bringing the car down to bare chassis, we started cutting out the rusted and damaged panels out, we opted to only replace rusted piece on the rocker panels instead of replacing the whole rocker panel , this will preserve the originality of the car,

dent on the bonnet and fender is bieng removed,and some part that was bent in the collision has been straightened out, will be sharing updates on that in next post.

after bringing the car down to bare chassis, and the assessing the work required, we cleaned the car and started working on the damage caused by the collision , we removed the front headlight housing panel by drilling the factory spot welds , and straightened it out and then pulled the crumpled part out with a ratchet and then dented the whole panel to bring it back to its former shape.

after straightening the side we test fitted the fender that we got from our local used car parts marked, and after some adjustments , and a little more beating of the panel it fitted like a charm, .

the suspension of the car , fuel tank and engine was still in th car, and now was the time to remove them also, this will bring the car from rolling chassis to bare chassis and then we will be able repair the chassis properly without anything coming in the way,
