Daihatsu mira 2016 Fuel average issue

Salam,

I bought a 2016 Mira L package about a month ago, it had only 3,100km on the odometer when i bought it and it was a 5 grade car so very clean.

Since I have bought it, it has only been giving me around 9-10 km/litre else 11km/l on best cases. How do i get this checked out and get this fixed so it can atleast give me 16/17+ km/l. A friend recommended to put in a fuel tank cleaner and fill the tank with high-octane and it should improve but I have'nt tried it yet, its not even a highly used car that oil checks would be necessary, its only 3,800km total driven (700km from me since i have bought it).

Would prefer much expert suggestions on what should be done to solve this, also to be noted that my driving is a bit rough( not crashing or dings, but full throttle type) if that should be taken into consideration.

Seems like you specifically created an account on Pakwheels to find a remedy...hope you have read issues related to JDMs mostly coz of low grade or fiddled cars

In response to your query....

Regardless of ODO mileage at the time of purchase, these JDMs Engine Oil, Oil filter, Air filter may needs to be replaced. Afterall, these are whatever kms driven cars, imported and could have stayed on port for a while, various climate conditions, etc, etc. So be careful to trust whats came with it, get along with someone who have similar package JDM and get regular maintenance items checked or replaced.

What most dealers do is, change items which are rather not apparently checked by customers. Your JDM car variant should atleast maintain 16 to 18kms per liter.Fuel do matter, try a well-known fuel station around,but, High-octane is not necessary.

HOBC means?

Sorry im not familiar with the term, is it high octane? And how much HOBC is to be used to be beneficial to the fuel efficiency.

Will check and report, also the car was extremely smooth on 2 occassions when i took it to 140kmph without any vibrations.

The softer you drive your car the better mileage you will get , agar (full throttle) need for speed hisaab ho Ga as you mentioned then no car in the world will give you a good average.
