Daihatsu Mira fuel economy problem and low mileage

I imported two-door Diahatsu Mira (L275V 2013 model) in 2017. The fuel average in the city in very low, around 11km/liter. In past one year, I have done the following but there has been no benefit:

1) Catalytic converter cleaning by Carismatic (no benefit)
2) Brand new imported Denso Iridium spark plugs for Mira installed (little benefit, fuel mileage rose to 12-12.5 km/liter).
3) I have recently changed CVT Fluid as soon as the odometer reach 100,000 kilometer. (no benefit)

My friends have similar cars and they are giving average of 15-17 km/liter.
I have searched for solutions on many threads but I have not been able to find any.
Please suggest what should I do now?

Are u sure it's cvt and not 3AT or 4AT?
Did u pour correct cvt oil if its cvt gear?
What is ur driving style?
What rim and tyre size are u using?
Are u filling petrol from a reputed outlet?

The dipstick is labeled as CVT and that is why I used CVT TC Transmission Fluid as recommended by the mechanic.
The rims and tires are still the same as when the car was imported.
I am filling from Total Parco Petrol pump on ShahraeFaisal near Karsaz flyover. It is a reputed outlet.

What engine oil have u been using since 2017.?
U have PRNDSB on gear right?

This fuel average has been since I got it in 2017
I use Caltex Havoline 10w30 SAE engine oil
And yes I have PRNDSB on gear

You should shift to 5w30 oil... Look for a sticker under the bonnet where recommended grade is mentioned

Further, get u car computer scanned for any unknown issue (if there is any)...

All looks good, not sure why u have low avg..

I am facing a similar issue with my car. I have MIRA X edition. 2016 import.
my car is giving 11-11.5KM/L
car millage is ~80k
Done with cleaning Cat conv
Throttle body serviced
Irredium plugs cleaned (not new)

I recently bought a daihatsu move and getting low fuel average around 12km/l (as displayed in dashbiar) . I discovered that some daisi ustad removed its thermostatic valve. Installed it yesterday and it reaches as high as 19km/l. Plz check yours.

check the spark plugs and clean the air filter your avg should improve... fuel avg depends upon many factors but the main one is your driving style if you drive with light foot avg will definitely improve! just make sure to change the engine oil on time and do atleast one long trip which involves driving at same speeds for some time as short trips always decrease the avg shown on meter.

Yes same. Happens here.. 2 weeks hoye hain.. Car khari rethi thi to avg 11 par agia tha... Abhi long trip hoye to 13.5 par aye.is it normal?

I have also recently bought dihatsu move 2022 and it is givng me an average on 15km/h by calculating by myself. Meter shows 17-19km/h.
What are your suggestions on it?
I feel like it's less.
And if it's less, what can i do to make it better?

4WD system kicks in during loss of traction. Normally, the car runs in fwd mode. For fuel average, 155/65/r14 tyres, good quality fuel and proper 0w20 engine oil viscosity help. These engines are sensitive to oil viscosity. I gained 4km/l in my old mira by switching to 5w30 from 20w50. Also make sure to change your fluids on time. CVT fluid should be Toyota FE only with filter change. Diff oil should be also changed on time or mileage and the battery should be eco-idle compatible. Most local bat…

I have the same problem i
already spend lois of money on my 2014 Mira thn i bought 2022 Epoch 660 same model

1- Original plugs installed ( even though previous ones were ok)

2- Put Made in France Oil 0w-20 Motul Brand

3- Catalic serviced

4- Oxygen sensor changed

5- Maf clean

6- Nitrogen in tyres

Now ita shows two types of fuel average

one is Average and 2nd Trip Average

Average is 13.5 Km/l. and Trip Average is
moat of the time is comperatively higher than average
like today Average was 13.2 Km/L from Kermari to
Airport at the aavrage speed of 55-60 Km/hr
Trip aevarge was 20.7 Km/L

So which is one is right or my average is 13.5 KM/L
