Daihatsu Mira L200 - Help Needed

Hi,

I have Daihatsu Mira L200 and I'm trying to find a way to get optimum gas Mileage. The car has been on Petrol since 1990 to date. Right now it is doing 11Km/Liter which is pretty bad considering the fact that it is 660cc only.

I've gone for C02 test and Engine tuning but to no good.

I'd really appreciate some recommendations.

No mate. Its Carburetor one.

Change the engine oil along with engine flush, clean the plug wires, do the throttle body clean. And after doing all this you can get 13-14 kms average per litre which is optimum for carby cuore/mira.

Already Got that done but not Engine Flush. Change oil regularly .. Installed new Spark Plugs denso Single Tip. It is not going beyond 11-12. Thinking of getting an Efi enginge. Any suggestions?

CNG Kit too Expensive. Minimum 45K for the setup not to mention 3 days load shedding plus long queues. As far as selling the car is concerned.. I haven't considered it yet. Once I upload its pictures you'll know why.. It is one of a kind in Lahore to say the least.

salman you are right i have seen you car and i also have the same car with same engine and is doing 20km in 100rs without ac and 14-15km with ac to kit lagwana ka koi faida ni isa patrol hi rakaho agar kit lagwa lo ga to jo atna expensive system lagwa ha usa kahan rakaho ga

and one more thing your car modle is not L200 it is L200s ku ka L200 1990 ma ai thi aoe l200s 1993 ma to aap ki wali to 1993 ha

All,
As the use of toyota XLI was getting out of my pocket, i decided to find cuore CNG so to have economical travelling. Obviously i visited pak wheels for guidance and then decided to go for MIRA, as ppl here have constantly said that they get 15-17 km/ltr. I have bought MIRA 2007 a month back, showing 17k mileage (God know's better now). Over all the car is bumper to bumper genuine and engine condition is excellent, drive is v.smooth too. But the basic for buying it was for good petrol consumption. It is giving me 9 km/ltr with AC. I have changed it's oil (shell havoline), oil filter, cleaned the air filter (as it was already in good state), plugs are in v.good state, engine throttle also ( i took the advice of pakwheels expert in forums). Still the mileage is 9-10 km/ltr on AC in lahore city. I usually drive below 80 kms/hr and use empty roads.

Please i need urgent help on it, any good mechanic or any advice, i am really tense about the petrol consumption.

Thanks for the feedback, i'll do it, but is there any genuine user who has got mileage of mira in city 14-15 km/ltr on AC.

if no one is getting it then spending money will be a waste.

bro if you dont mind can you upload pics of your car i also have cuore and i am going to modify it your car can give me some new ideas
