DAIHATSU MIRA REMOTE SENSOR PROBLEM (Experts help needed)

Dear Experts / Users,
I have Mira 2010 model with key-less sensor remote means the car opens when i bring the remote nearer and the car locks when i bring the remote further, and also the car has a key-less start it doesn't start without sensing the remote, but now from few days i'm facing a problem that even when i bring the remote nearer the doors don't open and i have to stick around the car for so long like for 10 to 15 mints and then it eventually works and sometime doesn't work at all even if i stay with the remote for so long. but once the car starts and i start driving after that if it is short time like about an hour gap the remote works perfectly but when in morning i start the car or leave the car in parking for few hours then the remote does't work. so experts please help me what am i suppose to do? even if i open the car door with the small emergency key the door opens and the car starts alarming but again the car doesn't start coz without the remote sensor it doesn't work. so what do i have to do? is it just a remote electric cell problem? or something else? and does this remote gets charged with the solar energy itself? like calculators? Please help me out. what do i do n where do i bring this remote? i live in Karachi.

Thanks for replying capri, but where do i get the remote battery checked from? from Tariq Road?

u can open the key with a + screwdriver and replace the battery...check if that works. to me it is a fault on the in-car unit. probably moisture or loose wiring.

Thanks for helping capri, i really appreciate u, it was the remote battery cell problem, i got it replaced from bahadurabad, the locksmith charged me Rs.250 for the cell. n now the remote is working fine. i hope it won't act-up again in like 6 or 7 months. Thanks once again.

Yes u have solved my problem otherwise i was really getting worried that what this fault is about. coz it was acting up in a weird way. but it got solved soon, thanks to u once again.

I have a 2007 Mira a/t, the issue is in the morning the remote key was working fine but as i went out side and have to lock the car in the market the remote key stopped working, i thought the issue was with the battery was weak, i changed them the Red light on the Remote blinks as i press the lock and unlock button but the car wont lock.. Need suggestion from the experts here, got it checked from a electrician he told me DASHBOARD MAIN JO SENSOR HAI WO FARAGH HOGAYA HAI, is it true he did not check and told me to change the lock to a China made Remote Wala Lock and he told me no one will repair it "The original lock"??

I need suggestion what should i do? Change the lock to China wala or Someone can tell me the issue? where can i get the original lock repaired i live in Rawalpindi...

Brother, make sure everything is locked in the car. My vitz had the same issue. It started working after I found out that the window would not go up fully because of hinderance in the channel. These car's don't lock unless everything is up and locked.

I have an issue with Daihatsu Sonica 2007 remote(keyless auto lock unlock).....everything was working fine.....unfortunately someone told me to check the remote battery for the safe side......the guy at watch shop opened the remote and check the existing battery and said its working fine and no need to replace......he fixed the same in the remote.....and the red light on the remore remain ON......he un fix the battery 2 or three times and peoblem remained same.....red light in ON over the remote and its not working......em using car manually with the key......any solution plz?????
