Daihatsu Move 2009 Model poor petrol average

Hi,

I have recently bought a daihatsu move 2009 turbo model. It is driven 98k. The car is giving 10kmpl in city and 14kmpl on highway. I drive with a light foot so it seems a bit low to me for a 660cc car.

Also anyone would know which oil is going to be the best for it? I forgot to ask the guy I bought the car from.

I think any 5w-30, API SN, Fully Synthetic Engine Oil would serve the purpose well, provided it's 100% genuine and original. You can look for Total Quartz 9000, or ENEOS Sustina.

what do you expect from 660 engine ? 18 km city 22 km highway ?? Buy a 2 wheeler

no matter what you do & how better you attempt to drive this is the best fuel average from KEI car

over next oil change use 5w-30 by Havoline or Shell change oil filter and thats' all you need. Good luck

What is the procedure for that? Does it also cleans whole exhaust?

The car is currently using ZIC A+ I am planning to use mobil 1, havoline or liqui moly. Will have to see where to find genuine oil in islamabad.

It mostly cleans whole exhaust system
You can either use https://www.profi-car.com/en/product_details/292/ or https://products.liqui-moly.com/catalytic-system-cleaner-3.html but avoid cleaning through acid. It will weaken and damage Cat Converter.

So I did go to an expert. He did all the cleaning of plugs etc and he did clean the catalytic converter with acid even though I asked him not to. Now I have to get the engine oil changed.

Since you have already eliminated all the negatives, then I would suggest if you are in Karachi to contact Imperial Motors for exclusive high performance Japanese and US engine oil. You can also avail Liqui Moly there at the cheapest prices and original or Japanese filters.

I have to change the engine oil aswell. My mechanic is suggesting toyota 20w-50 oil. Can anyone let me know what grade should i use and which company?

Sitrep: So I took the car to another mechanic who actually works in toyota. He spent full 3 hours cleaning the spark plugs, throttle body etc. He also took the catalytic converter off and cleaned it well. there was a turbo pipe leaking and we fixed that aswell. After all that the car is doing 9kmpl.

I am gonna have the oil and gear oil changed tomorrow. Oil I am gonna use is 5w30 toyota or liqui moly. Gear oil toyota aswell. Lets see.
