I have a Daihatsu Rocky 4WD, and I am considering replacing its original gear assembly as its broken & damaged with a Kabli (used) gear assembly from another Daihatsu Rocky 4WD, but from a different model year with a different part number.
Since both gear assemblies are from a 4WD transmission and same vehicle but different year and maybe different part nr, I am wondering:
Is this swap workable, or could the part number difference cause any issues?
Could this impact driving performance, shifting, or even lead to mechanical failure?
Will this require any modifications or ECU reprogramming?
I’d appreciate input from anyone who has experience with similar swaps or knows about Daihatsu Rocky 4WD gear compatibility.
