Hey Guys!

We're got an old Datsun 120Y in completley stock condition parked in our garage at home and were wondering what JDM style mods we can do to it? Here are some snaps. Advise/Suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Plz ignore the poor image quality of the engine shots.

I dont know if we can do an engine replacement to it ... but the picture I have in my mind is a nice lowered car with a powerful engine, possibly turbocharged.

What can I do to this car??

HAHAHAHAH .... actually this is my cousin's grandpa's car. Its still runs smooth . A client back in the 70s or 80s owed some money to Grandpa and he gave him this car instead ... they dont want to sell it ... so I thought why dont upgrade it a bit Any suggestions would appreciated

bahi engine nikal k mechanic ko do for over haulin and body day do kisi good denter ko and go for eminent blue mattelic colour of it

Its a rear wheel drive ... and therefore has lots of potential.

We can get the engine rebuilt .. but it will still be an old engine ... I dont know if it can withstand a turbocharger ...

Dear,
We are best in Datsun modification. You have a perfect car for modification. We can installed Datsun 1500cc CDI or EFI engine with 5 speed gearbox second option Nissan 1600cc Txin Camp turbo engine will be good for it. We can change its front seats and installed sports seats. We are on edge point because we know how to restore it body in fully sports car. I am sure no 1 can modify your car like us.

Presently we on project of Full restoration of Datsun 120Y 1980. I will show you the pics of that car.

My friendly suggestion is that if you want to restore it perfectly it will cost you 200k.

If you want to restore it from so you need to bring this car to Karachi for 45 days.

After full restoration there will be 2 cars in Pakistan. 1 car we had modified and it is rolling on Bhawalpur.

Yes I know that because of condition of Pakistan. One person from Bhawalpur will come to us for restoration of his 120Y 1982. You can meet him and get suggestion from him regarding our goodwill.

Engine and all related modification in engine room will cost you 80k to 90k. If give it to us we will charge you 200,000. I am sure after modification of this car people like to sea your car instead of new corolla. Corolla and reborn Civic will nothing in racing.

Get a 1.5L new Sunny engine from Sultan dee Khuee and mate it with the stock tranny. Get wide tyres and nice rims. Paint and dent the machine. Get new poshish, clean and paint the dash. change the guages.

@ Innocent devil .. that Datsun is SO SO bad ***!

@Proverbial_Slang .. interior is mint ... just need to put on some guages. Body is mint too ... with no dents and no rust. About the 1.5L Nissan Sunny engine ... can it be turbocharged? It has a stock 4 speed gear box .. can we do something about that too? Maybe a 5 speed from a nissan sunny again?.

Since its a rear wheel drive ... I'm thinking to add broader rear tires ...

Any more suggestions?? Keep filling me in guys ... thanks

Sorry for not replying before. Yuo need a rear wheel transmission for that. You can mate any engine with it as long as it is not too big for nthe transmission.
