Datsun 510

I recently restored a Datsun 510 to its former glory. I wanted to put a bigger engine under the hood but was sceptical of the rear end bearing the punishment so i planned on sticking to the engine that was already installed (datsun120y). I got the engine overhauled and replaced everything and anything that i could find in the market. Since i live in Peshawar the availability of parts was near to 10% so it wasnt a very nice job. After the whole car was restored the engine started troubling me and would never drive proper so after being framed on bricks for 3 months i decided to swap the engine. Since the car comes with independent suspension i could not put in a big engine like an sr20 or the engine of my choice 4age, so i planned on bringing it to its BRE specs with not too much and not less. Ive finally installed a Pajero Jr's engine in it 1100cc makes 80 bhp and is pretty much the same spec as the transam winner 510 spec. What do u guys think about my choice and what do u think was a better alternate..
P.s: the car has amazing amounts of torque and drifts really smoothly (which i love)

man i love this car.everything about is excellent and as a fellow datsun lover u have done a great job.but that engine choice isnt doing it.imo a perfect swap would be a na sr20 or something on those lines.i know of one ca18 in karachi let me find it for u.or i know of a l20 with someone.that would be a good swap too.ill try and find u a decent engine for it but please keep it nissan.

Well its been a few years that i restored the Datsun and unfortunately i wasnt able to keep it in shape. Maybe because of the unavailability of parts and because i shifted to islamabad.
The car is in a bad state since its been parked in one place and without a roof. Got alot of offers for this car but i dont know why i could never sell it.

I tried maintaining the car but becaue i didnt have any mechanics that i knew in Islamabad, the car went from bad to worse. FINALLY ive found a good mechanic who has got the car running again.

I am thinking of repainting the car and taking it on the BRE theme. Any suggestions??
