In principle, the Pakistani government has also decided to deregulate inland freight equalization margin (IFEM) which will help to maintain petroleum prices even across Pakistan (Liaqat et al., 2022). This will eventually result in a difference in prices among cities and may be from one company to another.
Oil importing and marketing companies (OMCs) will decide the fuel prices across the board with margins for their dealers & company operated outlets.
