I think you need some more time and workings to find out the actual situation.
Every fault repair has a SOP which states may procedures now it's the efficiency of Diagnosers what procedure to choose from based upon their experience and knowledge. So don't blame him he has always told every man a straight way.

Here I would tell you a simple AC job case one of our fellow did he took advice from me on phone where he showed me that he knows every basics of AC system the work was simple to put in R12 refrigent instead of R134.
I told him to vaccum the system and what he did was just vacuumed the system for 3 minutes and refilled the refrigent which ends up in iced up H block valve and poor cooling when I inquired him for how long you vaccummed the system he told me for 3 minutes where as the basic SOP for R12 filling is to vaccumm the system for minimum 3 hours so it would vaporize all of the moisture.

W210 I had a lot of vehicle with me in my scrap yard overseas here in Pakistan the ESP and BAS and SAM would kick our electrical technician ass with a toyota swap engine. You can swap a toyota into it but you can't run every gadget available on w210. A toyota swapped Merc would be like and old crown or grandee or cressida it no more would be a 210 so calm your horses down.

I know there was a time when I swap the engines for my knowledge purpose without any costs taken from clients all of the project I complete from my own pocket and if the client likes it he pays me if he don't I purchase the vehicle from him.

Bro its really simple, you've seen plenty of my threads and the methodologies i invoke in my projects, the background story of this was @dayrider is a good friend, he just acquired me about jz but he himself told me about abs and esp so he knows my expertise with swaps & performance oriented projects. So i was just getting stuck at installation of 2jz with @xulfiqar, when people try bringing my name down by using sarcasm, like he used ap start karkay engine de dogay, so that's why i showed little bit mirror to him that what people think of you here... But some people start joining hands just because there friends who were just doing drama of helping on pw forums in nissans who were hideously charging money from that help got really hurt badly.

I said we can't loose too easily instead we should think of esp and abs activation. If it's not possible we will drop the idea but we can't go with this discouraged mindset kay bus nai hosakta.

@rajaatta plus vaccuming depends on the pump's cfm, i have got a 3.5cfm, even if you vaccum it for 1min, it pulls the max unit of vaccum. Though i do it only for 10-15mins at max.. And I have achieved results in a/c aswell. We had the best season like Eastern so people run after quality & best type of work, we are here to do...

2jz is an ancient engine now and guess what I see daily 3-4 jz engines on regular basis because I also deals in Crowns and old cressidas so they visit me regularly and fixing them is like a piece of cake for me both electrically and mechanically because I don't like that some one else work on mechs and some other fixes the engine wirings.

no matter how technically skilled a local guy is handling mercedes is like handling mars rover for desi class.

Work has begun. I found a clean 220cdi engine locally, purchased its assembly and have initiated the swap.
Waiting was not an option, budget was slightly tight, and this appeared to be the best possible option. If this doesn't work, will surely get one from sharjah.
As for what I see here, there is no point in bringing other people down, there is no need to take everything personally. Live and let live, everyone here is a professionally qualified fellow, best to let it stay that way.

lol, just getting a 29 inch mercury reading on the vacuum gauge is not considered a good result, the reason to leave the pump connected for an hour is to make sure all moisture boils out of the system (sometimes seen as steam on the vacuum pump exhaust in colder areas). - Some shops even use a heatgun and aim it on different pieces of the A/C system to help the process.

If all moisture is not boiled out, this moisture forms icicles inside the lines and specially on the TXV which causes it to stall. The only time a pump is used for about 15 to 30 minutes is when your system has been opened for less than an 30 minutes (following proper procedure which is to block the lines with a cap when system is to be left open - e.g. removing a component)

I know it may sound as alien eggs to you - but its basic HVAC, and cars are extremely super simple AC systems.

but - please dont pay heed to this as I am an illiterate jaahil person who is a time waster.. I personally follow what I write as I value time the most, If im speding 10 hours repairing an entire car A/C - Im making sure I will not dig into it for years to come.

good, very good option. The changeover of engine will take less than a working day, whilst its out, remove the radiator and flush it clean and also remove the charge cooler (intercooler) and have it cleaned out.

Do not use a dirty charge cooler on your new engine, you never know how much crap is packed in there. Also replace the engine mounts as they are a bit difficult to remove with assembled car because the A/C compressor and engine mount arms sort of hinder it. Also check the steering rack mounting donuts, if they are wallowed out (usually they are) - replace them with new parts - it will nicely tighten up the steering. This is sometimes called moving slop in steering - the car will ltierally change toe on a tilted road with worn out donut bushings.

I had wasted a lot of money on refrigents specially I face this issue on variable displacement compressors on vitz and corollas no one was able to understand the problem where the control valve jams and ac went on holidays.

Then came the R12 project and that refrigent teaches me so many good lessons so now my thumb rule is when ever I rebuild an ac system on old crown or a new vitz I leave it to be vacuumed for minimum 3 hours and the results are just amazing. Also I don't use industrial canisters I use small quantity cans like 500 or 1000g si they are most user friendly and helpful in quantity measurings

aah, the vairable displacement compressors.. they fail in spectacular way when ustaad fills system with mota komressor haail but just a teaspoon. LOL

globally everything works - only in Pakistan and similar countries it doesnt because apparently the design engineers were chay and the gutka tech are smart.. LOL
