A month back a friend of mine was willing to get them for his Reborn as well and we went to Montgomery road and bought them and was facing the same issue and dropped the plan. Will suggest him to the same - really a helpful DIY

I would like to share a bit of info here... there are many types of stresses (load) one of them is called Fatigue, in which there is repetition of stress or force, which is what applies on the brake calipers, and there are some considerations which are observed to minimize the fatigue, the most important considerations are Sharp edges and Sharp Angles (you can see there are no sharp edges on your calipers or any other calipers) and by drilling holes you created Sharp edges which work as stress concentration points, moreover your mechanic put rivets which work by expanding inside means you applied residual stress, all this can lead to fatigue failure.

yes because as I said the poster has created sharp edges by drilling which work as stress concentration points. I hope and pray that they don't fail but if they do fail it will be due this drilling and not because of heat as other members are saying however the brakes can fade due to heat but that will be not too much noticeable and since the covers are made up of plastic they will melt before heat affects the calipers.

well brother as you said its done now so you cant really do anything I am afraid, just be careful, drive safe and try to inspect the calipers in regular intervals.
also let me tell you something more when we need to minimize the effect of stress concentration points (sharp edges and sharp angles) we make them smooth, so for drilled holes it is recommended to bevel the edges to round them off i cant really recall what that operation is called right now. but I think you should leave them as they are.

and please for God's sake don't blindly do anything those mechanics say, always do research first and then do whatever you like.

I invite you to inspect your brake calliper by opening one wheel physically. Your calliper is quite big!
Also it's quite thick too. Brembo is covering hardly 25% of it! So ventilation is quite fine. Regarding drills they are very small and calliper is very sturdy and thick. And believe you me no cracks. I have tested the car at higher speeds afterwards the brakes are perfect

would have been better to just get some real brembo brakes. Ebay is full of them. No matter how small that drilled hole is, over time under constant stress and heat, microscopic cracks will form due to fatigue. Give it a few years, you will end up with a broken caliper. And if you keep testing your car at higher speeds and braking hard, Oh well best of luck.

moreover, they should be really expensive
also i drive my reborn with much care and don't overspeed

thought the same. A hell lot of pressure and force is handled by the calipers while braking action. and the calipers are designed to handle all of that but drilling and installing rivets isnt something good.
