Decrease in value because of footboard repaint

AOA Pakwheelers,
I have just got my right footboard of honda city 2019 repainted because of a dent and it's only the footboard, the car is very carefully used and only driven 9000 km but this was an unfortunate incident that happened.
I don't plan to sell my car right now but I am just curious to know about the decrease of value with this type of repaint job?

P.S Honda driven inn Karachi did a below satisfactory job, and I would not recommend them to anyone in karachi for a paint job.

I apologise, I will sound very shady but there's a reason. Try to hide it if a buyer is trying to bust your balls, I know this sounds bad but I am only saying this because footboard being repainted is extremely minor and some people will try to nitpick such minor issues and come up with totally nonsense offers. If it was a fender/door/anything else, then transparency is more than necessary. If someone is a legit buyer and is serious about buying the car, let them know. But a typical haggler whose pissing you off and trying to find each and every fault, don't let him know.

Resale value only decreases if the cars structural integrity was damaged i.e in case of accidents.

this will be considered as a repair at most, and can even get away with the same treatment as side skirts and bumpers repaint which is not considered tbh. When selling the car no need to mention it just tell the buyer to do their own tasalli.

In a perfect world, yes. Here, no. When I was selling my Alto (blue metallic) which had factory paint (never been in any accident), the buyer first talked about how the bumpers have scratches, I kept calm. Then he started hitting the car with his nails thak thak thak "darwaza repaint hai". I shook his hand and went inside my home without saying a word. He stood there for a good few seconds in awe, he had never come across such an asshole his whole life. Atleast that's what he must have been thinking.

Do you have pics before repair? just show it to the buyer. I would personally tell about any damage of the car I am selling, on the other hand i should be ready to reject any unreasonable offer. True buyer will buy it.

I hate those sellers who disclose nothing and insist on "bhai deikh lein car khud apke samne hai".

I feel personally attacked lol. burden of responsibility should be on the buyer however if they are competent enough to point that out themselves means they are mature enough to understand the extent of repair, unlike an immature buyer who will blame you for slightest of things not considering they are buying a "used" car it will always have battle scars to say the least.

A car is sold on condition. Repaints don't really matter a month old car on sale says touchup due to scratches. 100% from inside. 100% original color. (Mind you,Not paint, orignal Color).

People are jerks.

My way of dealing in Pakistan when selling a vehicle was.

Broker: ye paint he
Me : acha waqai?

Broker....... paisa kam honge
Me: acha - kitnay?
Broker (less 10% asking price)
Me: buss?
Broker.......
Me: darwaza (pointing)

Its my car and its my choice who I sell it to.
