Defogger's strange issue

I have a problem with my car's rear windshield defogger. All the grids are perfectly fine with the voltmeter but only a few heat up the windshield. What could be the possible issue? Thanks

thats not possible,

you checked the lines with a multimeter slowly going from one side to the other? Its a pretty simple circuit.

Yes, and also with a 12 volt bulb, the voltage is quite fine, that is why it is happening out to be something strange.

Alright, I would do a resistance test as well. It's Corolla 90.
Well, at the start of wire, it's almost 12 volts decreasing slowly as one would go farther, but that is the case with all the wires. But practically only a few of the wires get heated. So strange for me.

Well, you might be the next Newton to come, but that was quite a simple DIY to check the voltage across the wires.

using voltmeter is a way to test the potential difference.if you hook up the same bulb to a 10v power supply,it will glow..
your lines must be broken.a resistance test will prove it

in testing the defogger if the grid is broken you get full power right before the break, best way surely is resistance check if everything else looks like "you broke physics"

The damaged grids have been identified, by voltage test using a volt meter. The next step is to fix the damaged ones. From where could I get that marker?
