Delay in delivery of Hyundai Tuscon

What is the problem with delivery of Hyundai Tuscon in Pakistan. Its been over 6 months since I booked one but not delivered yet.

Semi conductor chip shortage apparently. I also booked in January with no delivery in sight. The frustrating thing is that they are not providing a definite delivery timeframe. Just a vague answer like 4/5 months delay.

Upon asking how is kia managing tye chip, they do not have an answer for that.

Thanks for the response. The chip issue has apparently been solved now , you rightly mentioned about Kia. I think there is some other issue. What options do customers have? Any government agency which deals with such delays.

Sadly there is none. The only two options that we got is to cancel the booking or wait and I have chosen to go for the later. The production figures for tucson for the last two months are really disappointing. They have only produced 400 units in the last 2 months. If the procurement issue has been resolved, than they should be operating on full capacity which isnt the case so the issue is still there and will remain so for the rest of the year.

They do not have the production capacity to meet the demand, delays will always be there adding to the problem of container shortage and chip shortage
On partial booking you cannot do anything.
