Hey Haris,
Thanks for the welcome!. This is an interesting world that I am discovering now and I kind of now know the point of Toyota online bookings, however, dealerships should be in tight control of the car companies and that's what I have heard about them as well and the only way a dealership is acting this way should be when the company itself either doesn't care or is involved itself.
Interest earning on deposits would come into the scene if they deposit that bank draft somewhere. It's still sitting idle as I confirmed with my bank today. I approached a contact in another suzuki dealership in another city and they said there is no issue from the company-side. The dealership must have received quota for this month and they must have filled it with the "own" cars rather than making simple booking and now they are just waiting for the next quota while giving the lollypop that "PBO is not necessary, you will get your car soon!".
I have talked in length with other friends and everyone is saying there is nothing you can do except making a scene at the dealership, while I don't see a point of that except that they will not take me light for the next quota!
Very sad state of affairs with the very company that listed in the stock market and makes billions in revenue every year!
