if you read carefully the wording is clear - 60 days beyond the stipulated date.
in the fine print of every PBO the delivery date is mentioned in "number of weeks" not a fixed date.
@kamran.aslam what is stipulated time frame for Suzuki vehicles just a rough idea please,

add 60 days more (approx. 8 weeks) to claim compensation for late delivery.

They are mentioning the actual date now a days, as highlighted in the bottom center on the below pic.

Someone will have to take the pain and invoke the jurisdiction of the law to get compensation. But it so seems that the amount of compensation will be insignificant as compared to the effort required to obtain it,unless delivery is off by more than 3 months, which usually doesn't happen. You can work out the per month compensation to see the impact. It's a lacuna in the law such that it places the burden of handing over the compensation on manufacturer, some ethical companies like Honda have implemented it.. Toyota has fixed its time of booking in Yaris and accepting partial payment for the rest of the cars. However it's just suzuki thats neither ready to pay the easy way or accept partial payment for booking..

Date of initial booking = Date of PBO (not the date of tentative delivery)

This is what I have understood from the SRO.

Any law expert can shed some light on the interpretation and correct me if I am wrong?

You are right. If for the purpose of sales tax the date of deposit of draft for PBO issuance is the date of booking then same should apply here.

60 days from date of PBO issuance, since suzuki counts sale from date of deposit of bank draft. Next question is whether it's 60 working days or 60 days in toto

very valid point i assume that is why every automobile manufacturer has started giving date of 4 to 8 months after PBO. To stay clear of the SRO for compensation. (ham 60 days mai nai day saktay aap gari na book karwayn 6 mah baad ki date hai booking par agay ap ki marzi), so that premum ON game remain in business. Dealers & Manufacturers are bonded to protect their interests.

everything in terms of 'GOVT ORDERS' are good for public consumption. The case is way south of it, the tools for implementation of such orders are dysfunctional in true spirit.

neither people have time nor monies to waste upon going into litigation with OEM giants for such 'orders' compensation if / or / either / incase / but etc etc can not be made in 60 days.

Your call sir - only for sake of debate yes we can do the leg pulling, stalking of members as keyboard wrestling. Delivery period of vehicles will remain the 'decision' of manufacturer.

No, Suzuki won't ask for price increase for all bookings made BEFORE the date of price hike.
