apparently it seems like IAC is at fault .. by any chance u r not using cng then it could be one of those timing shifters (advancer i presume)

IAC works on specific voltages .. get chart from net and check with a multimer .. an old IAC or a stuck IAC could cause such issues

Its on petrol only. Shouldn't the vehicle keep running/maintaining the rpm after pressing the gas paddle, if it is IAC?

When this scene of terror happens it goes something like this: It shuts the engine off, upon trying to start again it does crank and start, but only for a second or two and RPM goes down immediately and it shuts off again, even if I press the gas paddle or keep revving nothing happens it still shuts off. This whole process probably takes 4 secs.

Went to an Electrician today, he used OBD scanner which showed oxygen sensor bank 1 or 2 code. Not sure whether its related but he erased the code and told me to visit him if I encounter the problem again.

check plug wire where it goes into distributor, the pins sometimes slide out of the cap. this is very common with seiwa wires.

ignition coil is also suspicious

already checked plug wires the moment it went bizerk. All wires were nice and snug!

Get it scanned using OBB device and cam position sensor, MAP sensor and O2 sensor doesn't trigger engine check light when they are malfunctioning. Probability is cam position sensor is bad.
