Is it alright to delete EGR from petrol engine?
Yes. EGR delete helps lessen carbon buildup in combustion chamber. Plus car's breathes better as no exhaust gas enters into combustion chamber. Ive done it with my swift and liana. Avg has increased a little as well

Are you facing any knocking issues after deleting EGR?
nope. none at all
Instead of deleting, I just got it serviced yesterday. A lot of carbon buildup was inside EGR valve and pipe assembly. After cleaning, the engine pickup and sound is better now.
