I would suggest go for city aspire and avoid alto as much as you can.

I also bought an alto in 2021 after reading stupid recommendations, alto is good for nothing. Those who upgrade from mehran or bolan write praise for alto however, practically car is garbage... Buy picanto or cultus ags instead

I am surprised at the comparison here as well. It is like comparing horses with donkeys.

I have driven Suzukis in my formative years. And believe me the company makes rotten cars.

I have now transitioned to Toyota and Honda, and know what a world of a difference even the base variant present in terms of comfort and driving pleasure.

The base variant of used latest model City and Yaris is not that expensive, and cost just some lacs more than Alto. Go for that if worried about the car driven by a trainee. You can then sell it and buy a new one once the training is over.
But I would never recommend Alto at all.

Alto is the worst car money can buy

No out of the world fuel economy, noisy cabin, rough finish, no storage space and bad suspension

Alto is the cheapest car you can buy new...

Dont think it is lamborghini....

There is no comparison between alto and city...

Both are completely different...

But we don't only see luxurious things...

Alto is a very good car for daily commute with seriously good mileage. Not sure whats wrong with alto. Its a pretty decent car

Alto may be a decent family car, but it is not in the same league as City. The laughable part is people recommending Alto over City.

If you can afford it, buy a used City or Yaris Automaic. I would recommand against buying any Suzuki car as they are grossly overpriced.

Alto is a decent car for small, run around trips. It very easy to park and drive in congested areas especially for female drivers.The fuel economy is unbeatable. Is very spacious on the inside and gets the job done very well.

Nobody buys it to experience luxury. Theres a reason it outsells City by 4 times.

I never had any issues parking my Corolla and Civic. There are ample space in Karachi roads. And I can say the same for base variant cars made by Toyota and Honda like Civic and Yaris.

The fuel economy is not that far off than Alto also. But the comfort and pleasure is way more than any garbage cars made by Suzuki.

Guys I'm not sure how my thread turned into Alto vs City. To clarify my use cases for both cases are different e.g. if I get Alto, I'd be more comfortable with the wife learning to drive on it even if it gets minor scratches/bumps but not with a City. If I get the City it'd be mainly a me-car and not for the family. After all this conversation I'm even contemplating to buy alto for family and city for myself but I'll sleep over it for a couple of weeks.

I think everyone in this thread understands the place of both Alto and City and the pakistani auto market food chain. One costs 17-18 lac and the other 35-36 lac so any comparison is kinda pointless to begin with.

Guys is there a difference or option to pay full payment vs just a small booking amount? I called a dealership and they're offering citi aspire 1.5 cvt booking for 7lac. Do i lose any thing by paying that small amount? Q being, if I pay full, does that in anyway speed things up or secure my 'booking' more than paying partially?

Was also quotes own of 120-140k if I wanted earlier. But regular delivery date is being quoted as June by one dealer (BS?) ecause another one quoted aug-sept as delivery date.
