Hey guys and gals, I've had my laptop for about 5-6 weeks. Its a DELL Alienware M15x and I have never replaced the battery, such as Laptop Batterij DELL Alienware M15x Series , Hoge kwaliteit, goedkope, snelle levering. . The past 3 weeks or so the battery can only charge when the computer is off or in a low power state. If its on and plugged in it will still lose its charge unless its already at 100%. On a full charge without being plugged in it only holds its charge for about 1 hour on "power saver". This makes it extremely hard to use it as a portable device so i'm trying to find a way to troubleshoot the problem without having to buy a new battery or laptop. Unfortunately I need it for the next few months in some of my classes so its kind of urgent. Thanks for your help!
go to some shop nd giv it a try with some other charger if it works, buy it and if not thn try a battery, if it works, thn buy it! nd if both doesnt work thn take it to sum renowned laptop repair shop! i hope it vl work for u
try changing the charger and 1 hour with the graphic card etc that's enough if your gaming the whole hour if you wanted battery life and portable device should have gone for ultra book

you have installed some energy saver software like "energy star" and the setting is on "max battery life" .. select it to "max battery time" and you are good to go ... BUT ... do note that keeping laptop constantly plugged will reduce battery life significantly like it will be over in around a year's time .. best way is to use in "max battery life" mode or un-plugg the charging when not in use, and more importantly use charging only when battery is 10% or less.
