Amazing,unbelievable,how you made it possible?only who had travelled the same route any understand the hardships suffered by Vw.And i really liked your plan to visit in july coz it is the only month when deosai is at its peak.

Thanks. Yes Deosai is beautiful at this time. Thats the good thing about this place; If one visits early, the Lakes have ice on top and the plains are pretty dry in terms of color...delay it by a week and the views change dramatically and the slopes become lush green...Had we planned it just a couple of weeks late, the flowers would be in full blossom changing the colors to reds and blues and yellows and purples...Then it is different in rain and different in sun...in the short season, Deosai has a lot of characters...each at par with the others...it would be safe to say no two experiences to this place can be the same...

I dont remember going through so many pages of a thread,you truely are a story teller.
Have been fan of Beetle and traveled a lot with my father,infact it was the car i learned to drive.
Attaining those heights of 15000 ft is not an easy task.Salute to German technology that a 40 year old beauty could leave the modern beauties far behind.
Well done Team Buggy....its an old thread....wonder what the IDA is doing now.. after Deosai the only place it could go will be K-2 ....Where this historic bug could be found now?
