Depositing foreign currency check from international bank in local bank account

So, I have got a cheque from outside Pakistan. Currency is QAR and bank is in Qatar. Cheque is in my name. If I deposit it in my local bank account which is in PKR, will it work? I think it works as they charge some money and convert it into local currency before depositing but just confirming if anyone faced this situation before.

I used to routinely deposit US checks to local banks. Talk to your bank foreign remittance department.

Why doesnt your QTR bank or payer deposit directly in to your local account TT transfer?

Just to update, MCB returned cheque after 35 days saying they can't process QAR. They can only process USD, GBP and EUR.
MCB branch manager also called his friend in Bank AlHabib and he said the same i.e. they can only process those 3 currencies mentioned above.
