Mobiles are not allowed because of the sect target killing and other militant acts

IMO that is a very lame reason because of the following reasons.
1. Many people in D.I.Khan are using long range cordless phones like Senao, according to the above quoted reason then ptcl should also b banned.


2. If we go by this reason then Karachi is the first city where we need to shut down all the cellular networks.

According to my info mobile networks were jammed in DIKHAN, Bannu and other areas neighbouring the tribal belt, with the start of Operation Rah-e-Nijat in South Waziristan Agency and its long operation has been over but the cell networks are still jammed.IMHO Mobile is not the only tool to facilitate sect killings but what to say

When ever i visit my village (Issa Khail), I try to visit D I Khan and have lunch at Mid Way Hotel by the river side. By the way nice photos.

When we were young we used to go there in every winter holidays .. My PHUPOO used to live there .. I remember the Midway restaurant and Dera ka TITANIC too ..

Those were the days we could travel anywhere in Pakistan without any issues or security problems .. we used to Go to hunting all over CHASMA, TANK, KALACHI etc ... My Father still has a lot of land there near the river .. sometimes it under water sometimes out of water ..

I believe its been more that 10 years when we last visited Dera and i surely miss it ...

Well its true in a way. You have to be pretty concious while travelling from Peshawar to Dera. Most danger is that your own army or ranger will shoot you if they feel you are suspicious

Use of Long range cordless is illegal anywhere in Pakistan. You are right it started off with the Operation. They were opened once but next day there were two killings, and the next day it happened too. so they again shut it down. Its not possible for them to shut it in Karachi. I do understand its the failure on their admin. They even banned motor bikes for this reason. Recently they opened it but still there are some certain restrictions
