they can fill a diaper with poop and warranty it for 3 years. it wont make a difference.

e.g. if the 3 years warranty subjects the owner to park his/her car for weeks/months to fix a single problem then that warranty is pretty much useless IMO (as I said above - this car is not a worthy competitor for garage decor)

e.g. lets say you buy this car and it had assembling defect in engine and it drops a valve in 10,000 kms - how long would the dealership take to give you your new car back with a new engine. Or lets assume you drive it and accidenly curbed it bending the control arm and tearing out some joints and damaging the knuckle and ripping the drive axle too.

How long would it take for your insurance to get new parts from the dealer?

I think booking price is 1.5 mil / 15lakh. Deliveries starting in November (for local production).

I've no connection or affiliation with Regal Automobiles but I can tell you this is a great car for the money. I'm pretty content with mine so far. I'm an engineer myself and though I don't have your level of automotive knowledge I can tell you they haven't cut many corners.

In the seventies Japanese were copying European & American brands. Cars from Japan were then called "Jap Crap". Slowly their cars got even more reliable than Western made cars. I think we should give the Chinese a chance too.

Yes their 3s network isn't that strong enough yet but the directors and staff are going out of their way to help existing customers. Ask customers yourself. Same problems exist with sportage dealerships as well. Only time will tell about their ability to honor their 3 year warranty.

As for the car, the same assembly lines in China produce vehicles for Germany & Spain as well where required standards are much higher. I'm directly in contact with dfsk dealer in Germany who informs me wonders about this car again value for money.

No car is perfect. Dare I tell you about the $750 million settlement approved by the judge in USA for affectees of kia engine fires? We have 4 Toyotas in the garage and I can tell u unique problems to every model, one of our Toyotas even got completely destroyed in Hunza after the brakes failed.

I'm sure Regal has a lot more ground to cover, they definitely need to improve their services but I for one am happy to see a new entrant in the market challenging the existing cartel. Besides all big companies have humble beginnings.

I would genuinely advise you to take a ride in the car and judge for yourself. You can find one outside pk too

I agree that Japanese started with copies of American vehicles, and selling them in USA was a monumental task considering the bad blood and animosity post war. What Japanese had was unflinching commitment and unparalleled work ethics, which over time paved their way for being called most reliable vehicle makers. I do not think Chinese can accomplish that, they do not have the same drives nor the economic urge.

I would personally advise people to not waste their hard earned money on Chinese vehicles. If one has a hardon for an SUV they should save up some more and go for better vehicle.

Haven't read any practical reviews of Glory i-Auto (580 Pro) yet, i.e. test drive under different conditions.

Indonesian reviews are all done on a car parked at showroom (which does show good build quality) or a short test drive around the showroom.

Have yet to see if i-Auto is also underpowered on hills like older 1.5 Turbo.

Panasonic ,Sony and other famous brands are selling their products for decades but its Haier, Gree Pel, Waves Ecostar Tcl which all are chinese brands in fact have far superior service network in pakistan now. Same is case with mobiles. You cannot find parts for Honda easily in majority of cities across the country despite that they are assembling cars since 1993 i think. So a company which is not even an year old and to expect service centres throughout the country is not fair

Pichlay week main fuel pump change karanay gya unho nay sirf pump change kia aur uskay sath kuch accesories bhi thee aik small packet main wo jaib main daal li service manager nay. I said complementry wash bhi hay tou they said hamay tou aisa kuch nai maloom 500 rupay lagain gay. When i went for First free service of my altis tou the mechanic poured plain water in radiator. How come when I was in Pakistan I could buy smallest of small genuine spare parts from IMC, PS, Honda, MB etc?

I mean obscure parts like teflon sealing rings used internally on automatic transmissions and even tiny plastic parts for interior finish etc.

I still get pm from people asking me about the underpanel cladding of civic etc, when I tell them the price from their local pakistani dealer they reply with

“Ye to mehengaa hai”

The dealership sells all parts everyday, the usual case is typical cheapo broke car owners of Pakistan who will happily spend a few tens of thousands on tikka, cake and desserts in a single sitting but maintaining a car??? Paagal to nahi howay

speaking of ac, all these brands are Residential market and pretty useless comparison, 99.9999999% owners see ac as thandi masheen and have dumbass install it for them, they also think the guy carrying duffle bag on cd70 is some sort of authorised hvac mechanic. I can guarantee you, not even 5% of hvac tools can be carried on cd70

the thing is Glory will have to prove itself. and if it stays fit over an extended period of time eventually it will start making place for itself in the stronghold of japanese.

glory has 3 areas to make, reliability, value for money and brand recognition.

like in case if its kia or hyundai in pakistan they need to work in 2 areas reliability and value for money however as a brand they are recognisable.

as xulfiqar bhai said if there is no support the car will die out, it happened with japanese even, dont we remember sunny and lancer selling like hot cakes back in 2005. now they are total junk boxes.

so glory will take time. nothing gonna change mindset over night. it needs to stick and stick well and if they do it will get its share.

But yeah, it will have to establish its service centers, let the deliveries start in November and let's see where it ends up. So far dealerships appear to be clueless.

Sportage is a level below as a platform, also smaller having 5 seats.
