Diahatsu Charade 1986 Digital Speedometer Repair

I have digital meter installed in my car, but the problem in that meter is the light of RPM bar & Speedometer is very dim, can any body tell me how to repair the meter??

u may need cleaning only, plus check for proper clean ground connection to meter cluster. LED glow is electrical connection dependent.

I have check all the wiring and showed the meter to the electrician in Karachi, he told me that the main IC of the meter is damaged.

Bro if the IC is damaged then it wont work. Dim lighting is due to low current. It might need cleaning.

please state the problem again .. IC ?? the 1 pc 16 pin & 2 pcs 8 pin ICs in this meter are to convert an analog pulse to digital signal which drive the digits and rpm bar(s). - the dim lights are poor ground connectivity or dust in cluster

Once again i have check all wiring properly, but the problem remain same, can u tell me the address of a good electrician, so that i can show the meter to him.

Were the lights always dim or did they fade out recently ?

Actually i bought this meter from Malaysia, when i installed the meter in my in car, only one week the meter work properly but after that the lights were very dim and after that the problem starts..

if you are in Karachi, goto Plaza auto parts market main M. A Jinnah Road. There is a meter specialist ' Hafiz Zulfqar 0300 2837591' at a building over mezzanine floor very famous simply ask for hafiz g meter wala and guys over the road will guide you to place

Bro who much does this meter or perhaps the rpm meter cost in Quetta in good condition. I have the standard non rpm based meter with the screen broken in half and held together by elfy (courtesy of my electrician) , If i can get my hands on a good condition screen , even that will do ..

TRUE STORY
