These components are available for around $100 used on international forums. Even if they are for $250 that is not high end category, let alone 'best ever components'. Your components along with Infinity Kappas can be classified as lower-mid end components at best. Some of the best ever components include Focal Utopia ($4,000), Morel Supremo ($2,000-$3,000), Rainbow Platinum ($3500). Then best Amplifiers also includes names such as Audison Thesis ($5000+ if I remember correctly), Tru, Mosconi, Adcom etc.

'Budget being not an issue' is a restrictive term. If you can give a figure you would get better suggestions. If its really not an issue then choose either Utopia or Supremo, get a Morel Ultimo sub, Audison Thesis Amp, Alpine H800 processor, Alpine 910 HU, Stinger wiring

When you arrange your all 4 crossovers in row....Then a crossover is made can may be compared to a single crossover of Focal UTOPIA...

@poster, these seem to be good components.... Please focus on other stuff now.... Its never about one particular thing in car audio.... All the good equipment combined together makes a good sound system and yes installation does matter....

I say, make ur move slowly and steadily to complete ur system.... u definitely need following things to properly enjoy the music....

head unit
pair of speakers
a subwoofer
amplifier to power speakers
amplifier to power woofer (in SQ setup, u can use bridge two channels of 4-channel amp to power the sub)
wiring

This is basic requirement to listen to complete spectrum of frequencies in music..... Ab aap jitna gud dalain *** har equipment kay liye, utna meetha ho ga....
And yes, spend wisely.... and do discuss and get suggestions from audio gurus here, before making any purchase....

GO and READ the forums and lets have a discussion over it THEN.. Get your knowledgebase correct first and then comment...

No Doubt Focals are great.. so are these..

Other than that.. By the grace of Almighty have had one of the best sound systems in my rides.. Best quality equipment..

I always do my research before buying anything... Putting in tons of woofers to get that Bass ruining all other notes in the track doesnt just makes a system great.. for me everything from Lows to mid to highs matters and I wanna listen to it exactly reproduced not jus duzz duzz duzz..

FYI the sort of audio setup you are referring to are known as "SQ Setups" Where the sub is used only to fill in the frequencies that the front stage speakers cant play. Not to over shadow the whole music and like you said duzz duzz duzz

Btw which amp and sub you have to drive the setup?

I am sorry to say, but those people definitely dont seem to have much knowledge.... And there was no such instance when any one compared anything with focal utopias, since it has very few competitors (maybe 2 or 3 components in the world ).... Yes, at one spot a guy talked about focal K2 power components, as per him these comps kicx butt$ and you definitely need to save some money to get them.....

If you really want some good reviews, then go to some good international forums like Talk Audio Online Car Audio Magazine & Forum of UK, etc.....

And my friend, forget about everyone..... Just ask DrShaggy or Stj174 to give you audition to their systems..... You may even ask Bad_Cheetah, who has the most basic focal components for audition.... I say listen and decide yourself, don`t go after anyone's comments....

The equipment you have is surely exclusive, Diamond Audio or Focal, both have their own mark in the market.

As for you query, to get the most of your system you need a good HU, A good SQ sub-woofer, Nice quality wires, and properly deadened doors.

HU: Pioneer AVH Series are great HUs 4150,4250,4350(optical out option). Ive had an oppurtunity to listen to some optical cable output, and it blew me AWAYY.

Sub-Woofer: a sub is only there to fill out the missing frequencies which your woofer would stress out playing specifically, as stj already mentioned, it is not about the duzz duzz, not in SQ. Pioneer W12PRS would satisfy you in that case, JL Audio 12w3v2d2 as well.

Wiring: Without good quality wires you wont be able to experience what your system is truly capable of. Streetwires ZNX21K wiring kit costs around 5200 rupees, it is one of the best quality wires you could get here in Pakistan, they might not be available in Islamabad, but they could be sourced. Madhouse12 would be the right person to get advise from since you and him are both in the same city.

JBL Power Series are nice amps.

One thing i wud like to ask, is the amp hanging in air or something like that? Always install a amp on a surface where it is less prone to vibrations and has solid footing. Vibrations are not good for the PCB.

Like many members advised you, to opt for damping, good RCA cables, introduction of a nice SQ sub, good speaker wires will be worthwhile.

I wont blow the Focal trumpet here, if you are satisfied how the Diamond Sounds to you, good for everybody..!

I wud suggest you save the money that you will be spending on changing the components and use that for the installation, damping, RCA, sub etc. After that if u still are left with some money, spend it on a nice head unit or a decent sound processor.

Since you are in ISB, madhouse12 is your guy. Like all of us here, he will be more than glad to help you out.

bro u did not reply. i think it was either u or ur younger bro that i met at disco music. i gave him the same advice. get some sound deadening and a good head unit. i asked him to get either p90rs or AVH4350 from pioneer. ur doors vibrate like crazy cos of the bass these comps produce and ur gains are set way up high. come to disco music and gimme a call on 0302 8425065. i'll tune the system for you.

I know this is a really old thread, and I'm not sure if you guys are still around but I couldn't help but to post this. I have been looking at some personal opinions online about the Diamond Hex components since I recently acquired some to replace my polks. After reading how much crap everyone was giving the OP I went to the recommended site of "DIYMA" and I saw the following post. I had to laugh a little and just had to post it. BTW, I hope nobody expects at any time that they have the best components available. First that's an impossible theory to prove; second, that is an opinion and as such is pointless to force on someone else. Hope everyone got what they were looking for, I like what you guys had going on here. Keep up the support for those with less experience/knowledge.
