what oil is leaking? engine oil from the rear crank seal is always a very large leak. Check the gearbox input shaft seal for weeping.

sir oil color is dark black and when vehicle is put to a complete stop it drain out like water from tap and than stops

what do u suggest should i still go for gearbox input shaft seal

sir gearbox input shaft seal is replaced but issue is not resolved what should i do now as oil is still coming from the same place where gear is mated with engine

I have seen this oil here in the USA - and honestly it isnt worth the premium price they ask, Mobil Delvac and caltex delo have been doing the job since decades and are cheap too.

But - its your money.

If I were to spend extra money on a HD engine oil I would go for a full synthetic formula.

the G52 is overdrive, the 5th gear is overdrive - its 0.851:1 ratio

Aoa, mine pajero having 4d56 2500cc turbo engine, the egr valve is removed by previous, what should i do now?

no issue so far heating etc the engine is going strong

reading your blow measure, your engine sounds to be in good health - a compression check and verify it, now coming to the radiator coolant - I would suggest you do a proper citric acid flush - for 20 minutes with engine running at mid range rpm 2000 or near. - drive for 15 minutes then drain the acid wash into a tub, - get some hot water and fill the engine and drain away (boiled tap water is ok) - dont use cold tap water as it can crack the head or blow the headgasket if the engine is hot.

repeat the clean water flush 2 times and then finally fill with coolant + distilled water mix.

Your starting timing is a bit of a head scratcher - check the valve clearances and compression of the engine.

the smoking and loss of power maybe due to bad fuel or clogged filter, (it can happen).

to do the flush correctly you need to remove the thermostat valve - its very easy.

regarding radiator flush, how much citric acid to add in radiator ?
do i have to keep rpm continuously at 2000rpm or drive car for 15 mins or both ?
and then drain engine with hot water twice and i am done ?

1 bottle of pink toyota coolant is enough ? and distilled water is the one drained from ac or the one added in battery ??

CSD is working perfect, do i need to do something extra to clean it again or just citric acid flush because from last two months its working on tap water.

• hot starting issue is only when cranked without heater, valve clearances were check 2 months back and it was 0.28mm.

-for black smoke: i tried various fuel stations for diesel and best i found was Shell on nursery shahrah-e-faisal, car smokes regardless from where ever the diesel is filled and i will check and replace the fuel filter tomorrow.
after how many kms it is suggested to replace the fuel filter ?

I wanted to know how the diesel tachometer works.

I only know for a fact that the I/P sends pulses to the circuit that converts that signal to a magnetic device then moves the needle..

I was thinking of a way to install an LED light with a circuit and variable resistor that will light up the LED at certain RPM, more or less a shift light in effect...

• i have got the fuel filter replaced 2 hours before, old filter was not too much dirty or clogged but there were some black particles inside. any ways with new filter black smoke has vanished completely even at high rpms. will update you after about 100 kms drive.

a diesel compression tester is not a regular gasoline engine tester, a diesel tester is built to measure 500 psi compression, You will need to find it yourself or find a mechanic who has it.

the citric acid conc is correct and the 2 hot water flushes will also work, I would make them 3 just in case. and then fill with toyota pink + distilled wter.

its not of much use honestly. VW used to do this on their old diesels and it wasnt much interesting - more of a pain infact.

do put the acid directly into the radiator, make the mixture in a bucket of hot water and completely dissolve it. then drain everything from the cooling system and pour your mixture, start the engine and drive for 15 minutes.
