The only thing I quoted final was my labour - 50K. - this includes labour for replacing TC shaft seal, AT output shaft seal, 4x4 input and output shaft seals. Plus replacing all hosepipes and what not in the engine bay.
remaining 200 to 250k is the amount the owner eventually spend in such vehicle, when the engine is out - all the hose pipes and many other little things are addressed.
considering my last 1hd rebuild, only the new parts were for about 180K. used parts included rockers and rocker shaft which were for about 20k iirc
so 200k so far in parts only - 300k doesn't sound so bad.
