yes - petrol and diesel will mix - but the result will be disastrous if you try to use that in your engine. The combustion properties are out of control.

Need some help from senior members.
Last week our driver put diesel from a rural area local pump in 1998 land cruiser 1hd-fte from that day onward the vehicle is often turning off while driving on long route mostly when acceleration is not press but don't turn off when idling but not in local drive.
Diesel tank was filled one time after that incident also diesel filter was changed which was in bad condition.
The vehicle is perfectly fine no black smoke issue no oil reduction.
One mechanic said its because of that bad fuel and water in that diesel. Further he said to check the diesel tank and clean it.
Rest the fuel consumption is also fine 7km/l in city and 9 on highway.
So what can be the problem I don't want to mess with the diesel pump and timing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Already have put half litre 20w-50 oil before topping up the tank and drove for 300km from isb to home town.
No vibration of any kind perfectly stable idle.
No unusual sounds from engine.

Sorry didn't check the last filter for the water residue.
Will check the new one.

I am using delogold in my LC 1993 1HDT engine and change the oil after 5000 Km . Is it ok?

The turning off issue on long route when sometime not pressing acceleration is still there.

Use 1 more full tank and tell the outcome if it improves or not. Diesel filter bhi dubara change kerna at tank fill and see the prev filter contents b4 throwing it.

Just got back from the mechanic he checked the fuel filter its Clean the diesel is also clean from water and other debris.
He also clean the pipes from and to the fuel filter.Along with something connected to pipe lower end.
Now the car is fine no turning off.
He also suggested to drive it further and on Saturday will go for diesel tank filter (called jalli by local mechanic) which might be blocked by that debris.
If not the above then will have to check the pump which I hope is fine.
I will put some fuel injector cleaner or diesel treatment tomorrow hope it help further.

you had just faced the water problem in your diesel pump on long routes the router doesnt perform well and metering is not performed well if drove at certain rpm range on long routes. for these kind of little problems grab your hands on Liqui Moly Diesel Purge and feed it directly through fuel inlet line your diesel pump would be again brand new with improved acceleration and it will also unclogged the injector's.....

No. Alhamdolillah. There is no blow or leakage in the engine bay. when i bought it there was oil leakage from stearing pump which i got repaired from the famous persom at Bilal Gunj "Kala Pump Wala" and its working fine since then.

I have read your previous posts and responses thereon and get good knowledge.

Just to share that i also get repaired turby of my TLC as there was a tick tick sound from the engine bay at high rev. This process actually lead me to a good loss of money and time actually and at the end i just got turbo repaired from a good man at Misri shah named Shahid (cause of loss was my mechanic) . Now i suspect that tick tick sound may of injectors and am waiting for the tuning time whenever it comes and after that will see whether or not this tick tick sound vanish.

If @Xulfiqar and @capsat could also guide for the tick tick sound at high rev.

Aoa sir could u recommend any specific place that carries the said adjusting shims as i recentely got myself a valve shim remover tool and am looking forward to get new shims as a couple of shims as they need replacement.

A bit confused reading through the posts of respected members. From another diesel thread on pakwheels a while ago i switched to mobil-1 delvac for my 2.0d as at that moment caltax was exiting pakisran so delvac seemed like better chioice.

1 reading through the posts is mobil delvac a suitable good oil for a 2c . (Zero blow and no issues) or should delo gold be used instead.

2 might be a off topic thing but the crank seal on the 2c is leaking slightly and i have a set maintenance date for its replacement along with the belts and things. Should i get the oil-pump oring changed as well its not leaking at all but should preventative maintenance be done on it or should it be left alone.

Would appreciate of esteemed would share their thoughts
