The main reason to ask about the oil was i rev the engine really hard and want something thats can take the load. I have been using delo before i switched but around 3k to 3500 the car starts to get a bit heavier and noticed a higher engine note on cold starts. I actually took bazereading with a soundmeter will share inshallah with both oil at operating temp and coldstart . But while i am running delvac with oem filters and a reduced engine note better response personally. I think mobil1 doesent have a zddp component built into it . I have been thinking to switching to mobil 1 5w-40 fully synthetic what do u say will it be a good choice as alhumdulillah engine dosent reduce any oil or any blow..
As far as the o ring is concerned after going through a couple of mechanics i actually asked a person to come to my house to do the job and he quaoted me a good figure as i wanted the sealant i am using to cure properly as it requires a 24 hours full cure .
Also a general query towards the esteemed zulfiqar saab and other esteemed members can anyone shed light on the cure time for the loctite 1207b rtv .
The query regarding the oil pump o ring change is as the car is now 180 k the crank seal is giving out so will do a 200k maintenance at 180k. My idea was to change all the seals as the engine was open and do some more preventative maintenance but my mechanic is of the opinion thats if something is sealed why to open it when not leaking but i am of the mind that critcal items such as these should be changed without any doubts and have kinda reached an impasse as i have nearly all the special tools like a dial guage and torque wrenches available what would be your opinion on the matter.
