Vehicle: Corolla 2015 GLI 1.3 Automatic Transmission
Scenario: Mistakenly poured ZIC X7000 10W40 oil which is for diesel engines and used for around 4000 KM.
Issue: After 2000KM I started to hear loud tick noise from engine which only comes in the morning and goes away after a few(5-10) ticks. It has something to do with the rpm because even if I warm up the engine first, it still produces tick noises.
Action Taken: I realised that i have poured the wrong oil only when I went for the next oil change and poured ZIC X7 10W40 which is for petrol engines.
Current Situation: The noise is still there. The noise comes when the engine is cold and after 5-10 loud ticks it goes away. When the engine is warm on start, i dont hear the ticks. But even if I warm up the cold engine before driving, i still hear the the ticks.
I would appreciate if anyone can advise/help in diagnosing the problem or suggest an expert mechanic.
