Salam to all , can anyone guide how to instal diff lock on 5 door prado 1998 and from where it can be installed , secondly is it worthy to install . Thanks.

if your vehicle does not have one installed from factory do not attempt some local experiment. instead you may choose to buy and install auto lock hubs in front.

The Differential lock and Hub locks are two different items.
In 1998 the TLCP came equipped with factory fitted locking hubs.

That advice do not relate to your query. It is some like poles apart.

Regarding diff lock, first evaluate your requirements that why you need it, once determined then you can opt for a center or rear diff lock depending on your offroading requirements. Both are available as OEM or as renowned after market brand.

1) electrical
2) manual

Brother i mean differential lock , basically my prado is equipped with limited slip differential but i was thinking to install differential lock for extreme off roading especially in muddy terrains .

Basically i was thinking of it as i need it for extreme offroading. My area is having muddy terrains in which differential lock makes a clear difference, my vehicle is equipped with limited slip differential but i was thinking to upgrade to rear differential locking , i have no idea wheather dual ( rear and front both ) differentials can be installed. The basic purpose is to get full result from a 4× 4 . And if its is possible please guide from where i can get is in lahore or pindi / islamabad .

Yes for that you need to change the diff. My prado has this electric diff lock.

Bro, for 1998 Prado, you can get air lockers from ARB. Shauno once did a video too (4x4 24/7), don't recall whether it was Prado or hilux. Basically they are simply installed in the same differentials and are overall quiet popular in non d8ff lock vehicles (almost all 80 series hardcore offroaders install this option in there cruisers).
Diff Locks make a hell of a difference. My 80 series has factory fitted diff locks and it's a tank I tell u.
