VVTi stands for Variable Valve Timing intelligence
VTEC stands for Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control add intelligent for i-VTEC
VVTi when intoduced worked on intake valves only, that means it changed the timing of the intake valves only..but it did that more than once inthe rpm range ..
where as VTEC worked on both intake and exaust valves(thats why it is superior to VVTi) , but only once in the rpm range...
i believe the VVTi technology is still working only on intake valves.....
but i-VTEC now shifts more than once during the rpm range...(thats wat i beleive..cannot confirm..if sumbody can then pls...)
