Difference Between 660cc & 1100cc engine

Salaam to all.

My question is that what is the difference between 660cc non turbo manual transmission and 1100cc non turbo manual transmission engines. As I know that there are 4A30 and 4A31 engines. I want to know that which one is my mini Pajero have.

I am searching on it but did not find any clue. Because in pictures the both engines are looking same.

Please help me.

My other problem is that my Pajero doesn't go above 80km/h Engine started to scream like saying I have power but can't let you go above 80. I have checked the clutch plate from local Mchanic and he saying that clutch plate is perfect. That what is the problem. I am unable to solve it. Because here is Faisalabad there are no authentic Mchanic of mini Pajero.

@munzoor95 what is engine code of your vehicle check the registration book. If you don't know simply snap the pictures of engine during day light. and share here.

engine making noise struggling there could be many reasons. share the details of vehicle & any maintenance work done in recent past

MINIs with Engine swap only from 660 to 1100 but no gearbox and differentials swap can face such an issue. This is bcoz engine and gear dont match. Mini is short shift and Junior is not. If u have gone through Engine swap only from non tubo 660 to 1100, then also swap tranmission with that of original Pajero Junior alongwith 4x4 (Central differential/Mini Gearbox) and Front + Rear differentials for proper performance. BTW these differentials are hard to find in Pak now. Few years back, these were available in main Kabar markets of Peshawar, Karachi etc. Now, its ur good luck if u find those.

If engine is not swapped, check "tikkli" / info-plate inside bonnet, which also have engine model number.

Also, if it's 90s model and auto transmission, then it might be 3 speed forward. There's no over drive or 4th gear. After 60km/h speed where car gets into 3rd gear, more speed is based on engine speed. On 80km/h with 6000rpm, you will face this issue.
