What is the difference between seat covers and poshish?

I have always seen them listed as two separate things.

Seat covers are readymade covers, while poshish is sewing the cloth to fix on seats like done on drawing room sofas.

So you give the seats to poshish maker so that they can sew poshish, like sofa seats?

Further, seat covers are installed by knotting threads / fabric ropes. How are poshish installed on the seats?

Seat covers = ropes

Posish = clips + ropes

Basically seat covers can be fit by any one, they are simple. But posish needs to be done by an expert.

anyway.. I do not know of anything called poshish. What I am believing is poshish the custom seat refinish back to factory look. Its very involved and requires complete dismantling of the seats, cards etc, and requires proper fabrics too - not sofa velvet

Seat covers are just covers - slip them on and tie them up - Not a fan of those.

ready made are seat cvrs and the ones u order according to ur will and seat size is poshish... just a shashka type name, not necessary to call it poshish... this is the terminology of desi experts.... !!!!

Me also have learnt this word just 5 years back when I moved to Izloo the south dictionary do not have this word.

Some ppl just call all type of seat covers as Poshish and some call Taylor made covers as Poshish.
