Difference between SM 5W30 oil and W20?

I usually go to Honda center and change my oil according to their Honda oil, SM W30, which cost around 2.8k.

I started going to Honda Swan recently as their customer reviews are slightly better. They use SN W20 oil ,which cost around 4k.

Which is better of the two and are these reasonable prices?

SN is better than SM and has all the characteristics of SM in it.

I think you're referring to Honda's 5w30 SM Grade and 0w20 SN grade, so for your information, 0w20 SN grade is without a doubt better than 5w30 SM grade. I suggest you keep using 0w20 SN grade if you're not facing any problem while using 0w20, but keep a close look at the Engine oil level using the dipstick because if your car is decreasing oil, then switch back to 5w30 which is comparatively thicker oil.

The rest is your choice.

IMO, Fully synthetic 5w-30, meeting API SN / SN + (or above), and / or ILSAC GF-5 criteria, would be best suited for your rides!

For your City, 10w-30 can be another good option, but if its working fine on 5w-30, then no need to shift to 10w-30.

If your Civic is under warranty, and / or somehow, you are bound to only visit Honda dealerships, then its something else, otherwise, many excellent options are there in aftermarkets.

In 5w-30: 5w-30 fully synthetic from any of Shell, Total, Kixx, Caltex / Havoline, or even PSO.

In 10w-30: Caltex / Havoline only!

Prefer to change oil from engine oil change booths at reputed fuel stations, and from 208L drum dispensers. It costs super cheap.

Change oil + oil filter after every 5,000 Kms / 06 months, whichever comes 1st. If oil level drops in-between, simply top it up.

Ensure that engine oil, and oil filter, both are 100% authentic.
