My land cruiser 2014 started giving a sound of like gears rubbing (cyclic heavy gur gur) early 2016. I was surprised when sound went away after tires replacement. Tires were original Dunlop and I replaced with same size tires in toyota showroom with slightly different profile, label was Dunlop Grandtrek. Replaced tires were worst in terms of sound as it was very high. I went back to Toyota showroom and the new land cruiser had the same tires so I decided to keep as such.
Now since a month a whistle like sound is appearing from the front, I have verified its not from engine. Also sound is continuous and increases with speed, Is there anything I can do to verify the sound is from tires or from some other part like bearings etc, as this time sound is not cyclic, its continuous. Tires have run like 40,000 KM. Mechanics are the worst in middle east, have to do some homework before going to them.
