Dear all Pws;
I had made digital multimeter https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/d-i-y-projects/190346-digital-multimeter-rpm-cng-temperature-alto for my ALTO that shows RPM, cabin temperature, remaining CNG in cylinder and battery voltage.Thanks to all viewers who like/appreciated my work and also who visited my post.
Now i want to add the one interesting functionality that is, this multimeter could also show engine coolant temperature in digital form. As there is already temperate gauge that gives rough indication about how much is temperature is but showing exact temperature in digital will be good addition which further may alarm/buzzer if engine temperature goes high from safe limit.
Is it good idea to show coolant temperate in digital form?
Temperature sensor is already installed in coolant pipe that gives output to stock analog temperature gauge. I think this can also be used So I want to use same sensor for digital meter as installing separate senor is very difficult work and also modification will be require in coolant pipe. I want to avoid this and want to make some simple solution.
So I thought to get temperature input from same sensor already installed for showing in digital form.
So here is request from Pws/DIY-ians/ professionals.
If some one could tell me specification about installed temperature sensor in ALTO. what is its output range and type? is it given volt against temperature variations? Or its output resistance changes when temperature changes?
Even even some idea to get require info may also help to do this?
Regard;
