Digital speedometer

Salamz,
Hope everybody doing just fine,m goin through a new project car (still a secret) and wanto install a digital speedometer ( LCD/TFT display) in it,

Anybody with some idea about speed sensors, tacho input etc...i am talking about 4AGE 20V Silvertop,

Input required from GURU's like SER_GTR, Hash4u, and all members who have helped me before.

for the speed there is a signal called VSS .. vehicle speed signal... it comes from the gear box. it gives a pulse and that is converted into vehicle speed. this process is pretty simple

for the RPM the signal can be taken from the distributor and depending on the cylinders on the engine the rpm can be calculated by a small circuitary

for the fuel guage and temperature gauge signals comes in voltages and this is the easiest part to handle...

Can you share a circuit diagram for these instruments? especially eletronic fuel guage. The sender unit for fuel gauge will be the variable resistence in the fuel tank

you can use a microcontroller and program it to give a signal to seven segment display to give you a digital reading.
its simple electronics

its a three wires grip on the gear box.
waise just for information. if any car has a cable VSS... tu there is a convertor available in the market "denso"
you put the rotating cable in it and it will give you the VSS signal on the other side..

fitting is not a problem at all....
its very easy... i thought you are trying to make the meter.
since you have it. its very easy to install

Well....1st of All Congrats For 20v....!! And Welcome In 20v Owners Community =D
Well For VSS As Spano Said....!! 20v Uses VSS Type Mechanism On Gearbox....!!
It Runs You Speedometer And Then Speedo Generates Pulse Which Goes Into ECU For VSS Reading....!!
Tacho Inputs Comes From Ignitor And Its
4th Pin On Ignitor= IG-(Tachometer Signal Wire)
