Dip stick showing no oil

Hello experts, i have an 8th gen civic 2007. Engine is fine. No blue smoke on start up or while driving whatsoever. No heatup issue. No knocking. However, when i check the engine oil on the dipstick before cleaning the dipstick. It shows that the oil is full
However when I clean the stick and check it again. It shows no oil whatsoever and it is not possible for car to run for so long if there is no oil. Please help.

The dip stick showing oil before cleaning means oil is there. Check the user manual (if u have) what manufacturer recommends how to check oil as some recommend to warm up the engine a bit n then check the oil.

Secondly make sure ur car is parked on level ground. Third do check both sides of dip stick second time. Standing all night the dip stick can show oil marks on both sides but when u clean n try again it might just show the level on one side of stick.

You are right. I was reading an hour ago on honda website that you need to start your car and warm it up to its operating temp, then switch off the car, wait for three minutes and then check the oil.
