no...it is perfect....get the yokohamas or continentals both are good...goodyears are also good but they are expensive....

Hi everyone, here’s my review after my 3 months usage of honda city 1.3 MT.
It’s been my first car so my review will be more focused towards the comfort, driving pleasure and the fuel economy, instead of the technicalities. I’m not here to offend any Honda lover. Please take it as a review.

For me, it was really hard to choose a car in a budget of 2 million. A new car was always my preferred choice so i went for the honda city. I was more than happy to buy a brand new car, who won’t btw?
The first and the foremost thing, the point where i felt disappointed was the fuel economy. The meter reading is totally a SCAM. The car shows something about 16 and may be 17 on a light foot. But actually it is no more than 13.3 km/l with light foot without AC. It has consumed a gas of worth 70,000 and is driven 9000 KMs.
The point where i got disappointed was that i missed a prius 2012 model in immaculate condition in the same price. And could have bought an Aqua as well. Bigger engine, hybrid with airbags and an automatic transmission makes them way ahead.
Comfort is a BIG NO in a honda city. It is uncomfortable enough to make me think if i want to have a drive or not. And believe me, braking power of honda is really overrated. You may think I’m exaggerating things but that’s really what i feel.
I’M NEVER EVER GOING TO THINK ABOUT THE RESALE OF MY NEXT CAR.
The car is really noisy at 120 on motorway. I have to play music to avoid the noise .
As it was my first car, so i had no idea which car do i really need. Like if i need comfort, resale, a good looking sedan or a fuel efficient vehicle.
But now my focus is comfort and the fuel because i drive a quite a bit.
Any suggestions for my next purchase will be highly appreciated.
My preferred choise is a Prius 2011 or 2012. Expert suggestions will be great. Thank you.

The calculations are wrong.
70000 divided by 91 equals 769.23 L of gas. which looks like you are getting 11.7 km/l whereas the post states that you are getting 13.3 km/l
agree with comfort part but just wondering if this review is for real looking at the fuel calculation

Thank you for the calculation. The average was 13.3km/l on every tank. 70,000 was just a random and an estimated figure i gave. Yes the fuel average is my concern because I drive very often, as i wrote in the post.

One of my friends purchased a city aspire 1.3 automatic and he wasn’t happy with it either, coming from a guy who upgraded from a mehran. I don’t know why these outdated models are not being upgraded. Also, he purchased a brv and its a much better car, always go with manual if engine is smaller.

the car is outdated but it is still ok....just upgrade the tyres and you will be ready to go....the 1.3 automatic is not recommended as it is underpowered car....1.3 manual is a very good car...

First of all 1.3 MT is a very good car and maybe ur tyres are not fine.I have same 1.3 2011 model and i have driven it on 180km per hour on motorway comfortablly.its a strong power machine.yes i agree its suspensions are a bit stiff but it gives u very good handling.and the brakes are 10/10

Yes the tyre could be an issue. I’ll update the review after changing the tyres.

My 2006 Belta 1.3 bought in 2011 gave 17km/l on a light foot in the recent long run and so far in the seven almost 9 years of ownership ive just changed the Airfilter, Oil filters and Engine Oil.
Stop buying shitty PKDM cars and producers will automatically improve their products.

Yup......just in case you have money...do try goodyear eaglesports.....they are little expensive but fantastic tyres as compared to yokohamas and continentals....

Replacing tires will reduce the tire noise but you cannot do anything with the engine noise. Engine noise is way too high while driving above 100 on motorway
