Disappointed of my new Honda City

I bought one in 2012, 06 model 1.0, the average was extermely perfect. The car was a perfect package except of the fact that it was an underpowered car and used to knock. Braking was not good but it was really comfortable enough. I used it for like 6 years. I loved it.

Maybe...but city 1.3 manual is a very beautiful car .
He does not need to sell it....just change the tyres and he will love the nuts out of it....

I totally agree. We cannot simply compare local manufactured cars with JDM and even if we compare both have their pros & cons. The only point left for the buyers is to decide which cons are not bearable to them.

If noise is making him mad then he can sell and buy a different car but that car will have its own issues

Yes. I don’t think the Corolla GLI is a good car either. You get nothing better than city in GLI. Yes a better suspension that costs you half million more than a city. I don’t think it’s a good deal.

How to check a honda city whether its 1.3 or 1.5 ? is there difference in looks or in engine ?

There is no difference in the design of both of them. I don’t think you can check it just by looking at the car. You’ll have to ask the owner🤪

with the last update they did on it I think there are only minor differences externally. All 1.5 ones will come with chrome handles and the infamous shark fin antenna. 1.3 wont have these.

Not really, saadi (non-aspire) 1.5 is deprived of the 'oh so cool' chrome handles and maybe the aayyteeeena too

even being knowledgeable about cars, i am totally against these laa waris imports. Bargaining with scrappy is not my cup of tea

Regarding fuel average, I think it shows the average at that point in time and not the cumulative overall average. That means if you are driving at 2.5 rpm with out much gear change it will show a high average.
Noise might be caused by the general factory fitted tires. They are noisy and changing tires makes a lot of difference.

City is surviving in the market because of it being associated with the diggi wali family car image.

Other then that people already prefer Vitz and Aqua over City and even Gli.

Where as fuel average in concerned im getting 12 with and 14 without AC on a WagonR so 15-16 km/L are just claims i dont know how to people get. Even my 2010 Corolla Gli manages 14 km/L with a light foot with out AC.

So the summary is City is a tin can but its looks decent becasue a of diggi.

You feel more good stepping out of a 1.7 Million diggi wali gari rather the a 2 million hatch back.

and the 17-24 km/L average that comes with Aqua comes with a cost of other maintenance as well. its not just fuel and go. Either you change the car every year or prepare for other expenses along the ride

I have a saadi (No aspire) 1.5 prosmatic and it did come with chrome handles and shark-fin antenna.

I believe @biloo ‘s car did come with shark fin antenna and chrome handles despite being a non aspire 1.5.
