Disturbing Mileage of Honda City 2007 - 1.5

I have recently upgraded the Engin from 1.3 to 1.5 of my honda City 2007. Everything is good except the mileage, It is giving 8-9 km/lit in the city while on the long route it is giving 12-13 km/lit.

So my friend who is dealing with cars, gave a try to check mileage. We filled the tank to the top nose of the tank from Total Pump near doctors hospital and drive from Doctors hospital to ring road making 9 stops on the ring road with speed 60 km max speed and came back to Shadiawal and traveled 43 km.
and again filled the tank to top nose from ZOOM petrol pump. and SURPRISINGLY its only 2.11 lits.

So mileage was around 20 km/lit.

I checked multiple times there is no leakage in the tank or anything because never seen any leaking patrol. tapered readjusted as well. Totally confused about what to do?

Maybe fuel quality is issue

Which fuel (like normal Petrol, HOBC, or their combo), and fuel station are you currently using?

IMO, Total, Shell, Hascol, and PSO are reputed brands, when it comes to refueling, and prefer such fuel stations, which are compnay operated / maintained, have rush, especially rush of commercial vehicles (if feasible and possible).

It means Total Petrol Pump is Good. Still, this is not realistic mileage, and not a correct method to check actual mileage.

Realistic mileage is obtained mostly from full tank to full tank, like, when you drive for at least 300-500 Kms, and then refill. That will be a sort of realistic mileage.

Noman Ahmad this is not the way to calculate the mileage of your car. First of All use the same filling station before and and after counting mileage and driving the car in variable speed .

Various factors in your case. There may be Car maintenance or fuel quality issues.

What about GO? I have two petrol stations near my home. One is private/franchise PSO the other one is Company operated GO. Rush is greater at PSO as it is on Main Road. but GO is Company operated, All things equal which one is better,

Both seem fine. Still, you may try both, and based on your experience and feedback, you can choose any of these 02, or both (if both are fine and equally great).
