AOA guys, I did this little DIY mod to my old Kenwood Cassette player a while ago so I thought why don't I share this little mod with you guys .
This DIY will help you to add a AUX-out cable to a KENWOOD head unit using the DIN connector port, usually used for connecting a CD changer. THIS MOD CAN WORK WITH ANY KENWOOD CD/CASSETTE PLAYER WITH A EXTERNAL CD CONNECTOR.
Items required:
-10k OHM resistor
-An RCA Stereo Cable
-Some wires

Now remove the Head unit from your car so that its easier to work with.
Have a look at this image, we'll adding the 10k resistor between pins 3 and 9. What the resistor does is that it fools the unit into thinking its connected to a CD changer.
Once you have added the resistor put head unit back into the car and check if it goes into AUX-EXT or DISC mode(for me) by pressing the SRC button. You'll have something like this:

Once that is working attach small wires to pins 8,6,12. Pins 8 and 12 are for the left and right channel while pin 6 is Ground. We will be using a common ground wire here. Your connector should now look something like this:

Now cut the off the Male RCA connectors and put them aside. Remove the outer skin and twist the inner copper shielding together from both the wire, well be connecting it to the ground wire.

Last step, connect the inner most copper wire of the stereo cable to their respective pins, 8 and 12 in this case.

Put every thing back together and test your new AUX cable.
Hope you liked this small DIY, I tried to put in as much detail as I could. Please excuse any error as this is my first post on this forum
