Can I do my car tuning at home myself?
I think the following tasks include tuning the car:
1. Clean or replace air filter.
2. Clean spark plugs and adjust the gap.
3. Clean throttle body using throttle body cleaner.

Is there anything else one can do himself at home to fine tune and run the car smootly and making it fuel efficient?

After how long fuel and air filters be changed?

Yes it is very much a DIY... I do it for all my cars... You need basic tools and information...

1. Good quality air and fuel filters easily blast 10000 kms.
2. You need to have the service manual of the car for the sparkplug gap and torque rating.
3. You will need to be careful with tightening the spark plugs as there can be damage to the head if threads are overlapped..
4. You will need a ratchet and a torque wrench.
5. Throttle body in an efi doesn't require much cleaning... For a carburetor you can use a carburetor clearner...

You can change all the fluids as well at home...
